The Analysis Team sits in the Finance and Analysis function and provides business intelligence across markets (internally and externally), customers, pricing and finance. It is a client-centric team focused on partnering with business leaders and is responsible for all analysis related to KPIs, revenue, expenses, and profitability. The team also leads Trayport’s financial planning, forecasting, and data analytics practice and plays a key role in enabling strategy execution. 
The Analysis Team produces the Trayport Euro Commodities Report, a key information source for participants in the Euro Commodities markets. Each month it is distributed to over 4,000 recipients from a spectrum of disciplines, ranging from regulators to journalists, from utilities to trading venues. The Euro Commodities Report evolves as the data sources, markets and demand evolve.

The Analysis Team Lead is a senior leader within Trayport, operating at a high level across the business. 
This role is responsible for planning, directing and organizing all financial planning and performance reporting activities of the business. Working closely with the senior leadership team as a strategic advisor, this role understands key business drivers, contributes to strategic planning and execution, and helps implement recommendations to drive profitable business growth.
With your leadership and communication skills, you will build relationships with stakeholders easily which allows you to gather, analyze and prepare the necessary insights for the senior leadership team.  Through the development of internal and external stakeholder relationships you'll become the lead trusted financial business partner. You will also manage, coach and mentor a high performance team that sets an example of collaboration and communication.


Manage a team of 4, providing leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum.
Own delivery of business intelligence for markets and revenue to Trayport and external stakeholders.
Own delivery of analytical support for Trayport.
Work closely with other functions within the Company, and external stakeholders, to ensure the team is meeting the needs of the business and external stakeholders.
Contribute as a hands on member of the Analysis Team, active in production of the monthly reports.

Skills and Experience

Practical / Business

Experience interacting with all levels of an organisation, both internally and externally.
Able to get buy in from relevant stakeholders to implement change.
Experience in a range of analytical disciplines: financial, corporate strategy, markets, M&A, etc.
Commercial acumen.
Management of a team with a diverse skill base and experience level.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (BSc / BCA).
CFA or MBA preferred, with strong accounting knowledge
Experience working with large datasets.
Attention to detail.
Highly analytical.
High standard of verbal and written communication skills.
High standard of presentation skills.
High standard of data representation skills (visualisation).
High level of numeracy.
Understanding of SQL databases.
Previous experience in SAAS, Energy, Financial Services and/or Capital Markets Industry an asset
